Gas Prices Killing You?

I still think it's a good idea.
Who's to say something like this won't actually work although
As long as they can pocket all the extra cash, the gas prices more than likely will not go down anytime soon, no matter what, BUT still, you never know.

Are You TIRED of Paying the High Cost of Gas??
Then take a few minutes and find out HOW YOU CAN HELP GET the COST OF GAS back down to under $2.00 PER GALLON.

It's a Simple 2-Step process, and We Need Your help to make this work, not just for me, but for you and everyone else who would like to see the price of gas to come down, and to show BIG Business that the American Consumer has spoken, and we won't be pushed around any more.

It won't cost you a thing to help and make this work, details are below, keep reading.

The following was sent by a retired Coca Cola executive. It came from one of his engineer buddies who retired from Halliburton. If you are tired of the gas prices going up AND they will continue to rise this summer, take time to read this PLEASE.

Phillip Hollsworth offered this good idea and it makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the "don't buy gas on a certain day" campaign that was going around last April or May! The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to "hurt" ourselves by refusing to buy gas. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them.

I hear we are going to hit close to $4.00 a gallon by this summer and it might go higher!! If you want gasoline prices to come down, then we need to take some intelligent, united action. Whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can Really work. Please read on and join with us! It won't cost you a thing to take part!

By now you're probably thinking gasoline priced at about $2.00 is super cheap. Me too! It is currently $3.71 and rising for regular unleaded in my town. Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a gallon of gas is CHEAP at $1.50 - $1.75, we need to take aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS control the marketplace...not sellers. With the price of gasoline going up more each day, we consumers need to take action.

The only way we are going to see the price of gas come down is if we hit someone in the pocketbook by not purchasing their gas! And, we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves.

How? Since we all rely on our cars, we can't just stop buying gas. But we CAN have an impact on gas prices if we all act together to force a price war.

Here's How We Make It Work:

STEP 1: For the rest of this year, DO NOT purchase ANY gasoline from these companies, EXXON/MOBIL, Shell, Chevron/Texaco, Marathon/Speedway and Amoco.

WHY??

Because they import all their oil to make gas from the Middle East, and it's because of the Middle East not increasing production and raising their prices that these companies and others have been raising the price of gas at the pumps.

Here's some facts from the U.S.Department of Energy:

These Major companies IMPORT Middle Eastern oil.
DO NOT BUY GAS FROM THESE COMPANIES ANYMORE.

Shell................ 205,742,000 barrels
Chevron/Texaco....... 144,332,000 barrels
Exxon /Mobil......... 130,082,000 barrels
Marathon............. 117,740,000 barrels
Amoco................ 62,231,000 barrels

If you do the math at $$120/barrel, these imports amount to over $79,215,240,000 BILLION!

These large companies DO NOT IMPORT Middle Eastern oil.
BUY YOUR GAS FROM THESE COMPANIES INSTEAD.

Citgo................0 barrels
Sunoco...............0 barrels
Conoco...............0 barrels
Sinclair.............0 barrels
BP/Phillips..........0 barrels
Hess.................0 barrels

All of this information is available from the Department of Energy and can be easily documented. Refineries located in the U.S. Are required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing. They report on a monthly basis.

Keep this list in your car; share it with friends. Print It Out and place it in your car.

Just remember NOT TO purchase from: EXXON/MOBIL, Shell, Chevron/Texaco, Marathon/Speedway and Amoco.

If EXXON/MOBIL, Shell, Chevron/Texaco, Marathon/Speedway and Amoco are not selling any gas, they won't purchase as much oil from the Middle East which will FORCE them all to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will HAVE TO follow suit. That's how we can get the prices down without making a sacrifice on our part.

STEP 2: But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of EXXON/MOBIL, Shell, Chevron/Texaco, Marathon/Speedway and Amoco gas buyers. It's really simple to do! Now, don't wimp out on me at this point...keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!

If you were to send this to 10 people, and each of them sends this to at least ten more (10 x 10 = 100) .. and those 100 send it to at least ten more (100 x 10 = 1,000)...and so on, then before long, we could end up reaching over ONE MILLION consumers.

If those one million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 10 million people will have been contacted!

If it goes one level further, you guessed it..... ONE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!

All you have to do is send this to 10 people. That's all!

The $2 Bill

The $2 Bill. Everyone should start carrying them!

I am STILL laughing!! I think we need to quit saving our $2 bills and bring them out in public. The younger generation doesn't know they exist.

On my way home from work, I stopped at Taco Bell for a quick bite to eat. In my billfold are a $50 bill and a $2 bill. I figure that with a $2 bill, I can get something to eat and not have to worry about anyone getting irritated at me for trying to break a $50 bill.

Me:
"Hi, I'd like one seven-layer burrito please, to go."

Server:
"That'll be $1.04. Eat in?"

Me:
"No, it's to go." At this point, I open my billfold and hand him the $2 bill. He looks at it kind of funny.

Server:
"Uh, hang on a sec, I'll be right back."

He goes to talk to his manager, who is still within my earshot. The following conversation occurs between the two of them:

Server:
"Hey, you ever see a $2 bill?"

Manager:
"No. A what?"

Server:
"A $2 bill. This guy just gave it to me."

Manager:
"Ask for something else. There's no such thing as a $2 bill."

Server:
"Yeah, thought so."

He comes back to me and says, "We don't take these Do you have anything else?"

Me:
"Just this fifty. You don't take $2 bills? Why?"

Server:
"I don't know."

Me:
"See here where it says legal tender?"

Server:
"Yeah."

Me:
"So, why won't you take it?"

Server:
"Well, hang on a sec."

He goes back to his manager, who has been watching me like I'm a shoplifter, and says to him, "He says I have to take it."

Manager:
"Doesn't he have anything else?"

Server:
"Yeah, a fifty. I'll get it and you can open the safe and get change "

Manager:
"I'm not opening the safe with him in here."
Server:
"What should I do?"

Manager:
"Tell him to come back later when he has real money."

Server:
"I can't tell him that! You tell him."

Manager:
"Just tell him."

Server:
"No way! This is weird. I'm going in back."

The manager approaches me and says, "I'm sorry, but we don't take big bills this time of night."

Me:
"It's only seven o'clock! Well then, here's a two dollar bill."

Manager:
"We don't take those, either."

Me:
"Why not?"

Manager:
"I think you know why."

Me:
"No really, tell me why."

Manager:
"Please leave before I call mall security."

Me:
"Excuse me?"

Manager:
"Please leave before I call mall security."

Me:
"What on earth for?"

Manager:
"Please, sir."

Me:
"Uh, go ahead, call them."

Manager:
"Would you please just leave?"

Me:
"No."

Manager:
"Fine -- have it your way then."

Me:
"Hey, that's Burger King, isn't it?"

At this point, he backs away from me and calls mall security on the phone around the corner. I have two people staring at me from the dining area, and I begin laughing out loud, just for effect. A few minutes later this 45-year-oldish guy
Comes in.

Guard:
"Yeah, Mike, what's up?"

Manager (whispering):
"This guy is trying to give me some (pause) funny money."

Guard:
"No kidding! What?"

Manager:
"Get this .. A two dollar bill."

Guard (incredulous):
"Why would a guy fake a two dollar bill?"

Manager:
"I don't know. He's kinda weird. He says the only other thing he has is a fifty."

Guard:
"Oh, so the fifty's fake!"

Manager:
"No, the two dollar bill is."

Guard:
"Why would he fake a two dollar bill?"

Manager:
"I don't know! Can you talk to him, and get him out of here?"

Guard:
"Yeah."

Security Guard walks over to me and......

Guard:
"Mike here tells me you have some fake bills you're trying to use."

Me:
"Uh, no."

Guard:
"Lemme see 'em."

Me:
"Why?"

Guard:
"Do you want me to get the cops in here?"

At this point I am ready to say, "Sure, please!" but I want to eat, so I say "I'm just trying to buy a burrito and pay for it with this two dollar bill.

I put the bill up near his face, and he flinches like I'm taking a swing at him. He takes the bill, turns it over a few times in his hands, and says, "Hey, Mike, what's wrong with this bill?"

Manager:
"It's fake."

Guard:
"It doesn't look fake to me."

Manager:
"But it's a two dollar bill."

Guard:
"Yeah?"

Manager:
"Well, there's no such thing, is there?"

The security guard and I both look at him like he's an idiot, and it dawns on the guy that he has no clue.

So, it turns out that my burrito was free, and he threw in a small drink and some of those cinnamon thingies, too.

Made me want to get a whole stack of two dollar bills just to see what happens when I try to buy stuff. If I got the right group of people, I could probably end up in jail. You get free food there, too.
